Federal State Budgetary Institution Novosibirsk TB Research Institute

Novosibirsk Tuberculosis Research Institute was established in 1943, in September 1955, it was included in the institutions of the Ministry of Health of the RSFSR. Since 1989 the Institute has been headed by Professor Vladimir Aleksandrovich Krasnov, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Medical Sciences. 

The institute supervises the Siberian and Far Eastern federal districts (26 subjects of federation - 66% of the territory and 25% of the population of Russia), works within the framework of national and international programs to combat tuberculosis, fulfills state orders for epidemiological monitoring of territories.

DGM equipment is efficiently used by the FSU Novosibirsk Tuberculosis Research Institute of of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation. Characteristics of DGM equipment in Novosibirsk Tuberculosis Research Institute are as follows:

Directions of scientific research of the institute:

• epidemiological monitoring of tuberculosis in regions of Siberia and the Far East;

• development of new mechanisms for managing TB activities in the territories of Siberia and the Far East;

• improving methods of diagnosis and treatment of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis patients with concomitant pathology (chronic hepatitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchial tuberculosis);

• improvement of surgical methods of treatment of tuberculosis patients;

• diagnosis and differential diagnosis of tuberculosis.

Modern technologies for disinfection and sterilization:

One of the distinctive peculiarities of the institute is its striving to apply the most modern technologies and solutions in its activities. That is why DGM equipment was chosen to equip the Central Sterilization Supply Department of the institute.

Since 2010, the following equipment has been used by the Novosibirsk Tuberculosis Research Institute for sterilization and disinfection of medical devices:

• AND 600 Pass-through Steam Sterilizer

• ES 250 disinfecting-washing machines (2 units)

• QX 1200 ultrasonic washer

• disinfection and vapor chamber with DGM 2000 vacuum pump
